Product Data Migration and Ongoing Installed Base Process Design
Business Issue
As part of a major systems replacement project, Client needed product data
to be migrated into the installed base of a new entitlement system.
Solution
Bardess consultants participated in the definition of migration data and
developed functional requirements. Subsequently, we designed the processes to
support the migration and assimilation of source data into the target installed
base repository, developed test plans, and assisted IT during the development
and testing of these processes in addressing identified issues, questions and
problems. Additionally, Bardess developed a design for a tool to be used in the
management and reporting of on-going delta updates from all source systems to
the target installed base, including assimilation exceptions.
Client Impact
Client met deadlines for migrating and assimilating required source data
into the target installed base repository. In addition, the client had detailed
requirements which were used for the development of an installed base
assimilation management tool.
