ODSC EastThe Open Data Science Conference (ODSC) set for April 30-May 3 at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston will feature Bardess Data Scientists Daniel Parton and Serena Peruzzo in the hands-on workshop, “Analyzing Legislative Burden Upon Business Using Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning.”

According to the ODSC website, “ODSC East 2019 is one of the largest applied data science conferences in the world. Our speakers include some of the core contributors to many open source tools, libraries, and languages. Attend ODSC East 2019 and learn the latest AI & data science topics, tools, and languages from some of the best and brightest minds in the field.”

Parton and Peruzzo will be relating their experience working with the Government of Ontario to “investigate the use of advanced natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning (ML) techniques to analyze legal documents including statutes and regulations.”

In the hands-on workshop, Parton and Peruzzo will walk attendees through the technical implementation using techniques from the NLP toolbox.
